Blah!  Two short halves instead of four quarters again.  This game was not pretty!  It went back and forth with hardly any scoring right to the end.

State Class B Wrestling

Lisbon went with the Dual Team and 10 individual wrestlers.  8 of the 10 wrestlers placed with one state champion, Jace Berg;  two second places, Joe Nelson and Dylan Urbach; three third places, Jacob Aberle, Hunter Mairs and Wyatt Aberle; one 5th place, Taylor Busche; and one 8th place, Wyatt Smith.
The two that did not place were Garrett Johnson and Taylor Olson.
The team finished in 2nd place.
At 138 pounds, Taylor Olson lost his first consolation match over Dalton Hamlin from LaMoure by a major decision 9-0.  Taylor won his consolation round 2 in overtime over Gabe Schill from North Border-Cavalier 7-2.  In the Championship round Taylor lost to Hunter Fredericks from Killdeer by major decision 16-3.

College Wrestling...
Patrick Nord went to the 2012 North Qualifying Group Tournament in Morningside College, Sioux City, IA.  He won the tournament at 165 lbs and will be going to the NAIA Nationals Tournament in Des Moines, IA at the Richard O. Jacobson Exhibition Center.
Michael Nord won’t be able to compete in the National Tournament due to a few academic hiccups.
