Summary: Hopes were high for fans and players entering the tournament. During the regular season, Post #221 had a winning record against everyone in the field.

They all knew it was going to be a hard task -- they were so right!

Game #1

Post #221 was outhit 10 to 6. The game went 10 innings and in the final one there were wild pitches or passed balls - 2 hit by pitch - 1 error - and one hit and F/H scored 1 run which was the winning run.

Game #2

It went Post #221’s way in this one - 10 run rule 11-1 after 6 innings.

Game #3

Ouch! __________!!

Post #221 out hit Valley City 14 to 4.

Their downfall was the fact that Post #221 issued 6 walks - 1 hit by pitch and 4 errors opening the door for Valley City. With 2 outs in the bottom of the last inning, a Valley City batter was hit by a pitched ball and then an error was committed followed by a opposite field single which scored the tieing and winning runs.

It was not a fitting end to the season that they excelled in. They were impressive and exciting to watch all year.

Personally - after all the years that I’ve watched Legion ball here in Enderlin, I can honestly say that this team was one of the very best.

I’d like to thank them for their effort and to Coach “B” for his leadership.

We’ll miss those that won’t be back next year and wish them the very best in their future endeavors. Thanks guys.

For those that will be back --- see ya then.
