Ben and Marlene Trottier donate skate park to city
Ben and Marlene Trottier of Enderlin wanted to give the youth of the Enderlin community a place where they could practice their skateboard skills safely.
They researched skate parks around the area and the result is a $56,600 park located in the volleyball court park beside the dike on Railway Street.
Workmen laid the cement and put up the fence, but youth, along with Bens direction and volunteers set up the equipment.
The youth working were Reed Podvin, Alice Podvin, Kirk Huxsahl, Craig Vinton and Hunter Jankowski. Volunteers were Mike Martin and Pastor Terry Monson. City workers assisted also. They were Rick Gillund, James Briss, Dan Froelich, and Dennis (Corky) Thompson.
